What Explainer Videos includes

Product explainer videos

Short animated videos for a homepage, landing page or sales deck that set out the problem, the solution and one clear next step.

App walkthroughs and demo videos

Guided videos that follow a real user journey through an app or web product, built from screen recordings and animated annotation.

Motion-graphic promos

Campaign and announcement videos built from kinetic text, icons and brand elements, for feature launches and event promotion.

Social cut-downs for Instagram and LinkedIn

Shorter edits of the same animation sized for feed and short-form placements, with captions and an opening frame that works muted.

Animated UI walkthroughs

Interface-led videos where the screens themselves move, used to show a workflow accurately without filming a person using it.

Scripting, voiceover and captions

Script writing, recorded voiceover, on-screen text and caption files delivered alongside the video rather than charged as extras.

What is included in an animated explainer video?

An animated explainer video combines a written script, 2D motion graphics, recorded voiceover and on-screen text to explain one thing clearly. For a software product that usually means the problem it solves, the two or three steps a user actually takes, and the outcome. We build these as product explainer videos for websites and sales decks, app walkthroughs that follow a real user journey through the interface, motion-graphic promos for campaigns, and animated UI walkthroughs where the screens themselves move. Each video is delivered in the aspect ratios the placement needs: 16:9 for a website or YouTube, 1:1 for a feed post, and 9:16 for Reels, Stories and other short-form slots. Burned-in or sidecar captions come with the delivery, because most social viewing happens muted and captions also make the video usable for viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing.

How does the animated video production process work?

Production runs in a fixed order, and each stage is signed off before the next one starts. The script comes first, because a video that explains the wrong thing cannot be fixed with better animation. Once the wording is agreed we storyboard it frame by frame, showing what appears on screen against each line. Only then is the voiceover recorded, since the timing of the animation follows the read rather than the other way round. Animation is built against the approved storyboard and locked voiceover, after which revision rounds handle wording, pacing, colour and on-screen detail. Working in this order keeps changes cheap: a sentence rewritten at script stage costs minutes, while the same change after animation means rebuilding scenes. The number of revision rounds and the schedule are agreed in writing before work starts, so both sides know what the quote covers.

How long should an explainer video be?

Length follows the job the video has to do rather than a fixed rule. A homepage or app-store explainer generally works best when it is short enough to hold attention through a single idea, roughly 60 to 90 seconds covering one problem, one solution and one call to action. A product demo or app walkthrough for an audience that has already shown interest can run longer, because a prospect in a sales conversation will sit through two or three minutes of detail. Social cut-downs go the other way: a 15 to 30 second version for Instagram or LinkedIn, built from the same animation and usually leading with the single most useful frame. We settle this at script stage by writing to a word count, since a voiceover script runs at roughly 140 to 160 words a minute. Cutting the script is how you shorten a video; trimming animation afterwards is not.

Why use a software studio instead of a video agency?

Because the hardest part of a product explainer is being accurate about the product, not the animation. TechWebster is a full-stack software studio, so when the video covers something we built, the script is written by people who know what the screens actually do, where the flow branches, and which features matter to a first-time user. A general video agency works from a brief and a handful of screenshots, which tends to produce a video that looks right but describes the product loosely: wrong button names, a flow that skips a step, or a benefit the software does not deliver. That gap costs revision rounds and, worse, confuses the viewers it was meant to convince. The same applies to animated UI walkthroughs, where recording and animating a real interface is easier with access to the build. If we did not build it, we use the product properly before writing anything.

What kind of video work does TechWebster not do?

We do not shoot live action. There are no actors, no presenters on camera, no drone footage, no studio lighting and no location filming. TechWebster is a software studio of between two and ten people, and video sits beside the engineering and digital marketing work as a supporting service rather than a production house. What we do cover is 2D motion graphics, kinetic text, screen recordings of real software, and animated interface walkthroughs, with recorded voiceover and captions. If a project genuinely needs a filmed founder interview, a customer testimonial on camera or product photography, that is work for a video production company, and we will say so rather than approximate it in animation. Being clear about this early avoids the common problem of a brief that quietly assumes a film crew. For animated and screen-based explanation of software, the scope above is what we deliver.

Explainer Videos questions

How much does an animated explainer video cost in India?

Cost depends on the finished length, the number of animated scenes, whether voiceover is needed, and how many aspect ratios and cut-downs you want. We quote per project once the script scope is clear, rather than per minute.

Do you write the script or do we provide one?

Either works. We can write the script from the product itself and your input, or animate a script you already have. If you supply one, we review it for length and on-screen feasibility before storyboarding.

Can you deliver vertical versions for Instagram and LinkedIn?

Yes. The same animation is delivered in 16:9 for websites and YouTube, 1:1 for feed posts, and 9:16 for Reels, Stories and other short-form placements, with shorter cut-downs built from the master edit.

Do you provide captions and subtitles?

Yes. Captions are part of the delivery, either burned into the video or supplied as a separate subtitle file. This matters for muted social viewing and for viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Can you animate our app's actual user interface?

Yes. Animated UI walkthroughs use screen recordings or rebuilt interface frames, with motion and annotation added on top, so the video shows the real product rather than a generic illustration of it.

Do you film live-action video with actors or drones?

No. Our scope is 2D motion graphics, kinetic text, screen recordings and animated UI. Live-action filming, presenters, studio shoots and aerial footage are outside what we offer and are better handled by a film production company.
